Projects
Horus is a rapid, asynchronous OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) scanner that searches 50+ platforms to detect whether a given username exists, all while circumventing common bot-detection systems. It's built around a single shared Chromium browser instance driving ephemeral tabs. This architecture keeps memory usage low while still scanning concurrently at speed via asyncio.
Rather than relying purely on browser automation, Horus prioritizes official platform APIs (Instagram's web API, fxtwitter for X, the Roblox users API, etc.) and falls back to a hardened shared browser session for the rest, honestly reporting authentication walls instead of misclassifying them as "not found." Input is sanitized against special-character injection, and the tool runs cross-platform on macOS, Linux, and Windows (via WSL) with a global CLI alias installed by an automated setup script.
